Eucharistic Ministers share the Body and Blood of Christ under the forms of bread and wine, with other members of the Holy Name Faith Community at Masses, during Communion services, and in homes.

The extraordinary ministers of Communion should be mature Christians who receive Communion regularly themselves, who take their faith seriously and live a Christian life. It is their duty to see that during Communion, the greatest respect is shown the Blessed Sacrament and those receiving. Eucharistic Ministers must be commissioned by Father.
